Abstract : Biogeography, the study of the distribution of species and ecosystems across
geographic space and through geological time, is a multidisciplinary field that integrates
concepts from ecology, evolutionary biology, geology, and climatology. This paper explores
biogeography as a practice, emphasizing its historical development, methodologies, and
applications in understanding biodiversity, conservation, and evolutionary processes. By
examining both literary and scientific sources, this discussion highlights the significance of
biogeography in addressing contemporary ecological challenges
