Dr Badri Narayanan Gopalakrishnan is a leading economist and strategy leader with over a quarter-century of global experience. He served as Lead Advisor and Head of Trade, Commerce, Strategic Economic Dialogue, International Cooperation, and Vision India@2047 at NITI Aayog at the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India. He is an Affiliate Faculty Member at the University of Washington Seattle, Oregon State University, and Boston College, and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), Brussels. He founded Infinite Sum Modelling LLC in Seattle (2015) and co-founded non-profit organisations such as the Policy Modelling Association for Inclusive Development (PMAID, 2016), Cancer Aid Society USA (2017), and Viksit Bharat Foundation (2022). He obtained his PhD in Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (2006), BTech in Textile Technology from PSG College of Technology (2002), and BA in Hindi Literature (2000). He has been a consultant to the UN, World Bank, ILO, FAO, WHO, IMF, ADB, McKinsey, KPMG, PWC, Harvard University, LSE, Tata Group, Aditya Birla Group, and several governments. His work has been cited about 6000 times and featured in Nature, Financial Times, CNN, BBC, NYT, WSJ, and The Economist.
